Funding might be required at some stage to purchase new materials, or new equipment or to invest in new technology. Various funding sources can be considered including business loans, hire purchase or government grants.

Business and industry grants are also common. Local government grants are mostly community based - usually for non-profit organisations and usually smaller amounts. Currently, for small business, the state government is the most active. Down the track maybe consider an angel investor, venture capitalist, or a commercial bank.
